How does Dilatrate – SR (Isosorbide Dinitrate) work?

Isosorbide Dinitrate is a type of vasodilators which are the dilators of blood vessels. Blood that is coming back for the body in the veins must be pumped by the heart. It is through the lungs and into the body’s arteries against the high pressure in the arteries. This will work by letting the heart’s muscle produce and use energy and that it requires oxygen.

This medication improves the flowof blood and oxygen to the heart. It also reduces the work that the heart mustdo by expanding the arteries and veins in the body. Expanding the arterieslowers the pressure in the arteries against which the heart must pump.

As a result of both effects, the heartworks less and needs less blood and oxygen. It also expands the arteries that supplythe heart with blood. It is to let the heart receive more blood and oxygen.
